"Engulfed By the Waters of God"
Engulfed By the Waters of God
Bible Verse: “Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Is 55:1
My thought for today is the fact that true satisfaction is not of this earth but rather given freely by God to all who ask. Who ever said that there is not free in this live of any substantial value? All who come to Jesus have been given an incredible gift, the gift of living water. Jesus can quench the flames of frustration, the burning desires of want and the friction of fear. We can find hope in our helplessness when we surrender our lives into His care.
Isaiah is writing to establish hope for a hopeless people. They have gone from opulence and self-gratification to want and disillusionment. They are in want but they have no means to pay since it was all taken from them as they are moved into exile in Babylon.
We to can find ourselves in want, hopelessness and anxious about our future. We may be physically as well as spiritually thirsty and nothing here on earth capable of satisfying this need. Wherever we are in our journey through live we can find a well-spring of satisfaction in the love of Jesus Christ. We come empty handed. We come in want. We come in fear and confusion and yet we can will leave renewed and restored as we turn our attention to Him and seek His will for our lives.
The challenges we face may not evaporate, but our attitude toward them will certainly change. When we see life through the lens of Christ things down look so bad, storms so awful and frustrations so binding. When we come to the well-spring of live we are satisfied.
There is nothing impossible for God! The bigger our troubles get the smaller our God seems to be. This is not a good sign. We need to come to the realization that our God spans space and time. Our God is in control and wants to be in relationship with you and I, helping us through the trials and tribulations of life. All things are possible with God.
Are you thirsting? Do you feel in want? Has life been choking the vitality from your very existence? Come to the Waters of Christ. Come be renewed and refreshed. Come find satisfaction and fulfillment. He is waiting come now!
