"Seeking God With All That We Have"

Seeking God With All That We Have

Bible Verse:
Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. Is 55:6-7

My thought for today is a fact that life is too short and now is the only time to call on the name of the Lord and draw close to Him. When we see Jesus face to face it will be too late for man to decide that the Bible was correct and God wanted a relationship with us but we did not want a relationship with God.

Like wind up clocks we are moving closer to the ends of our lives. Time is precious and we must not waste it. No on knows the time we have left on this earth, except God. We may have decades, years, months or just days left before we enter the presence of our loving God. Rejecting Him today has eternal consequences.

We must chose to seek Him each and every moment that we have breath. Isaiah describes God as near, knowing our inner most thoughts and wanting to be a part of our daily living. It would be a shame to cut Him out of our day. He has so much to show us, so much to teach us so much love to shower upon us, why would we want to purposeful deprive ourselves of the richness of His presence?

Nothing is too difficult or surprising to God. He wants us to thoroughly understand our time of choice is now. People who ignore Him now will be ignored in the kingdom of heaven and eternity is a really long time to be ignored by God.

When we see Him face to face all will fall in love with Him. Those who do not know Him will be torn from His presence. Those who do know Him will enjoy His blessings and comfort forever. We cannot keep this lesson silent. Others need to know that their choice is NOW! There is not a moment to lose. God is waiting on our response so let’s not disappoint Him.

Do others know of your relationship with God? If not why not? Are others drawn to the light of Christ that should be on display in your life? Eternity hangs in the balance for those who meet and greet us. We do not necessarily need to preach the gospel but we are called to seek God while we have time. When we do others will witness our search and want to know why. This would be a good time to tell them since their time as is ours is short. Let’s not waste another moment.
