"Praising God With Each Breath"
Praising God With Each Breath
Bible Verse: I shall make mention of the loving kindnesses of the LORD, the praises of the LORD, According to all that the LORD has granted us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has granted them according to His compassion, And according to the multitude of His loving kindnesses. Is 63:7
My thought for today is the fact that we ought to be abundantly grateful for all the gifts and graces that God has given us, but we are not. There seems to always be something else that we want or need. It is within our sight but just outside of our grasp and therefore we pray.
The request may be a miracle prayer the returned health of a loved one or the strength to endure hardship or the peace to secure our thoughts in uncertain times. No matter what is on our heart we focus on it. Therefore we need to guard our heart more carefully and place upon it the loving kindness of God.
We have been blessed with overwhelming grace. Each breath we take is a gift from God. We have life because God wants us to fulfill His purpose for our lives. We all have the same great purpose and that is to glorify God. How we achieve this purpose varies from person to person.
The gifts and graces that I have received are perhaps different than yours. Everyone has received at least one gift that we are called to use to the glory of the Father. Your gift may be one of encouragement so make sure that you touch as many lives as possible with a smile and an affirmation that they can endure.
Others may have the gift of help, or giving or administration. Whatever the gift is we need to be using them to bring honor and glory to God. I know that I do not have the gift of writing, but I do have the gift of teaching and exhortation. My feeble attempts at writing are used mightily by God. This is especially true when I type the wrong words but the right message it still revealed. God is still honored and His praise sung no matter what I write. It is in trying that we praise God.
Are you trying? Do you use the gifts and graces you have received to glorify God? Is God’s loving-kindness witnessed in your life? You have been given much. You need to use all that you have been given to praise God through your living. Life is short so let’s not waste another minute. Praise God through using the gifts you have received drawing everyone to Jesus our Savior.
