Valued By God
Bible Verse: He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot. Yes, Thou wilt cast all 1their sins Into the depths of the sea. Mic 7:19
My thought for today is the incredible gift that God has given to those who love Him is often ignored or under valued. The gift is forgiveness. It does not come with monetary value nor can you pick it and possess it and yet it si by far the most significant possession we can cherish.
God wants us to be reconciled to Himself. He wants to embrace all of mankind, for we are all created in His image, but rather than robots without choice we must choose to accept His offer of grace. There is nothing more precious, more fulfilling, more costly to God than for Him to tread all of our iniquities under His feet.
Jesus went to the cross to show us the depth of this love. It cost Him everything, suffering, shame, humiliation just to get our attention and recognize that we need a Savior.
Life is not always easy for man. We often suffer, live in fear of the unknown or are distressed by the loss of a loved one. We need to look closely at what we count to our credit as a valuable under heaven. It must not be the blessings of health, wealth or well-being, but rather the incredible gift of God’s unconditional love. When are eyes value God more than life and the toys that surround us we are rich.
God’s love is not cheap. When we lift up Jesus as our most valued friend we begin to recognize the true values in life. When we humble ourselves before God and praise Him for His undying love though circumstances may overwhelm us then we can begin to see and understand just how blessed we are.
What is your most prized possession? Where does God fit on your priority list? Have you ignored the value and power of God’s grace and replaced it with things that rust and can be stolen by man? Life is too short. We need to cease each moment and embrace the things that have eternal value. Our relationship with God is one of those key eternal possessions. Lift high the cross and praise, honor and worship the King of glory who has forgiven you and counts you know as one of His children.
